Post Race Party

After the race runners are invited to a post race beach party where they can enjoy live music by RUN FOR COVER and products from Dunkin’ Donuts and TriTown Foods.

Massage

A large group of massage therapists from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy will be available for pre-race and post-race massage from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Portable Toilets

Portable toilets will be located at several locations on the half marathon course

Timing and Mile Marks

The race features ChampionChip timing for quick results and is brought to us by Platt Systems, the timer of our event. Mile markers and street markings are at each mile. There will be digital clocks at the 1, 5 and 10 mile marks. The first 12 miles of the half marathon course will have restricted traffic for 3 hours. The last 1.2 miles of the course will be closed until 12:30 p.m. The timing service will time all those finishing under 3.5 hours

Medical Tent

There will be a fully staffed medical tent near the Finish Line. The doctors, nurses and emergency medical technicians who staff this tent work at the Road Race for your safety and benefit. Please follow their instruction. Medical personnel have been given the authority by Race officials to disqualify any runner who insists on continuing when the doctor has recommended that they retire from the Race because of injury or physical stress.

Aid Stations

There will be 8 aid stations on the marathon race course and 1 aid stations on the 5K race course. Please use them. Gatorade will be provided at selected aid stations.

Showers

Cold showers are available near the finish line at Rocky Neck. Hot showers are available in the Crane & Egret Campgrounds areas at Rocky Neck.

Baggage Claim

A baggage claim is available on race day. All items must be picked up by 2 p.m. The race is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Food Area – Participants Only

There will be a selection of products from Dunkin Donuts and TriTown Foods. Food vendors will be available for spectators.

Health & Fitness Expo

The Chamber of Commerce of East Connecticut Health Council is organizing a free fitness expo with exhibits from local businesses, leading fitness experts and manufacturers. Please call (203) 481-5933 if you are interested in joining our expo.

Results & Awards

Results will be posted near the Finish as soon as they become available. Please do not request this information from individual race officials at the Finish Line. All awards will be based on finish clock time. The awards ceremony for the 5K race will begin at 9:50 a.m. Awards given to the top three finishers in each age category. 1/2 marathon awards ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m.
